Why's my stuff on back-order? When will it ship?

Please see our lead times policy on this one. Stuff is marked as back-order on the system because we make it to order. So it comes into stock, gets allocated and then goes immediately back out of stock; hence, the perma-back-order thing.

Unfortunately, this does mean we can't always mark your stuff as shipped because the system gets a bit confused. If you're UK based, please allow the lead time plus a calendar week for delivery. International orders, please leave 2 weeks plus the lead time from the date of ordering before emailing us asking after your stuff. Trust us, we're in the process of making your stuff . :) Lots of emails means we spend more time answering those than we do doing the bit we love: making top quality gear for our wonderful customers.

The listing says the item is out of stock, when will it be back in?

Items that can't be back-ordered are generally out of stock for good. They're items that we've had a limited supply of and don't plan to restock. If you see the 'Out of Stock' message come up and the listing isn't marked as limited stock, drop us an email and we'll see what we can do. Otherwise, we don't plan on re-ordering stuff, unfortunately.

When are you releasing [product foobar] for [latest blaster release]?

Trust us, we're on it - keep an eye on Facebook, Twitter and the BritNerf forums for our latest announcements.

Do you sell any upgrade products for the Nerf Strongarm? Springs or Kits?

No. The Strongarm is a picky little thing and upgrading any part of it leads to significant wear and tear on the internals to the point of reducing life span down to a single digit number of shots. No version of modification kit or reinforcement modification is yet available to solve this. Though we are working on a solution.

Will [insert product] fit my 12 year old?

Unfortunately, no. All our items are marketed at the adult Nerfer and the sports environs they play in. Consequently, our products are not safety tested as toys. That's not to say they're not good quality, just that we've not had the legal rubber stamp placed on them to certify them for use by under 14s.

How do I return an item or get a refund?

That depends on your reason for wanting to send stuff back.
Faulty items:Yikes! The QC gremlins have gone on strike and let one slip through the net! First up, we're really, really sorry we sent you a dodgy item. We'll fix it on the double to your satisfaction. After all, we wouldn't want to be responsible if you got nommed by a zombie because we sent you dodgy kit. Imagine the paperwork! Anyway, get the item back to us ASAP - our mailing address is:

Inside, include your name, the item itself and reason for return. Please email a copy of your postage receipt to returns@blastersmiths.co.uk along with any extra information. We'll arrange a refund of your return postage costs and get either a replacement or a full refund to you when it arrives. Refund or replacement is your choice, no strings attached.
I changed my mind:
That's cool. There's a little thing called the Distance Selling Regulations which means that if you change your mind within 7 days of receiving your item then just drop us an email and we can arrange returns and a refund for you. There's only 2 things to bear in mind, however:
First, the item needs to be returned to us in a resellable condition (i.e. unused - no taking items out in the park on Saturday and then sending them back Monday :D)
Second, you're responsible for return postage.

Do you take custom work?

Yes, yes we do. Email sales@blastersmiths.co.uk with an outline of what you need and we can sort something out for you.

We're with a student group, can we get a discount?

Quite probably. Get your committee to email our general enquiry email (enquiries@blastersmiths.co.uk) and we can send them our bulk purchasing discount list. We offer discounts for bulk buying and combined shipping, just get in touch.

Eep! I need it sooner than the advised lead time! Help!

That's not strictly a question but we can help. If you email sales@blastersmiths.co.uk with your required date we can see if we can move things around for you. There's no guarantee that we can and we may ask you to pay extra postage charges for faster delivery but we'll do our best. As always, speak to us and we'll do what we can - if we don't know, we can't help out!

Can you fit [foo part] to my blaster?

Erm, that's a good question. Our lawyers haven't given us a straight answer yet. Until that point, we can't modify any blasters ourselves. We do, however, plan to have online fitting guides.

Which is best out of [product foo] and [product bar]?

Our kit is designed to be as customisable as possible and so what's best is entirely personal. If you're still stuck, go discuss it on our Facebook Page or maybe ask the guys at the Brit Nerf forums for an opinion.

Can I use your images on my blog? What is your content licensing policy?

All our content is (c) Blastersmiths UK 2014. Available under license: CC-BY-NC-SA http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/. The exception to the aforementioned is the Blastersmiths UK shield device and the name Blastersmiths UK. Anything containing these names or devices are All Rights Reserved and may not be used without our explicit written permission.

Do you do part-shipping?

No, we will only ship what we have on hand. If we can make it from the materials we have in stock, it will be listed as backorder-able. Otherwise, you'll just have to wait until things come back in stock. We won't part ship because it costs both parties more and raises the risk of things going wrong.

Will you ship to the United States/Any other country outside of the EU?

Yes but there are a couple of things to remember:
> You're responsible for any duties and taxes at your end - don't complain at us if the man steals a slice of your pie and your $20 purchase becomes a $30 one. We have to legally declare all exported goods so if tax applies, I'm afraid tax applies.
> Our prices include VAT at the UK rate of 20% and this applies to all countries within the EU - countries outside of that area can expect to pay 20% less. However, if local VAT or other sales tax applies then we refer you to the point above. The price your account will be charged for both taxes and shipping will be displayed clearly before you head to PayPal - if you don't like it then don't continue. The point about local sales taxes outside the EU does still apply, however.
